Description

In the constellation of Cassiopeia, southeast of the star Shedar, there is a vast molecular nebula area. This very faint zone is made up of interstellar dust, dimly lit by some very young and hot stars. There are several objects from the LBN and LDN catalogs, and in particular LBN 603 which is the main protagonist of the star field, LBN 608-609-612-613 and LDN 1295-1296. These clouds, which are part of an immense IFN (Integrated Flux Nebula) characteristic of the northern constellations, have a very low temperature close to absolute zero. The estimated distance is about 410 light years.
